Similar to this thread, but for DC2 not DC2R. (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12765) This thread confirmed AUDM DC2R is 4.785 FD.

What is the stock FD (live axle) on DC2?
What is the recommended upgrade? 4.91?

I'm thinking stock is 4.4. And the best upgrade is to ATS 4.9 with 1.5 KAAZ LSD.

Can someone please confirm. How much of an improvement (nothing else changing) could one expect from going from Live 4.4 FD to LSD 4.9 on DC2?

Regarding fitting, sorry if this is a stupid question. Can I go from Live 4.4 to 1.5 LSD 4.91? Or is it different parts etc?

Thanks

FD won't address the issue of horrible spacing from 1st to 2nd gear... I'd start looking for a b16a hydro or itr box if i was you. The dc2 will need a taller 1st gear or shorter 2nd...

all local spec B series VTEC engines have the same first 3 gears
, difference is the 4/5 and FD between the lot.
Everything here is a 4.4 , and the DC2R is a 4.7xx

Get a DC2R box or internals + LSD.

Can someone please clarify?

Do I want ITR box, or will 4.91 + 1.5 LSD be what I want? I kinda don't see the point in ITR box if I'm going 4.9.

IMO get a 98+ ITR box.
Cheaper than building a b series box with that FD + lsd.
Better ratios for daily driver

4.9 would be too hectic.

Every thought of doing ats gears for 3rd,4th and 5th and keep the 4.4 final drive?

Nope, the dc2 is the odd one out; the gearing is different to the civic and dc2r.

Just go ITR box... if you can find one.
