IMO, if you want to improve Honda Jazz braking performance, I think the bigger front rotor and a pair of good quality brake pad should be ok. ^_^
There are many Jazz owner in Thailand did change rear brake to Disc. It's just swap rear disc brake system parts from same model.
I dont know much in details weather they have to re-adjust the brake pressure between front and rear or not.

Jazz in Thailand with Vtec like mine come standard with rear dics brakes and they work great. So just get someone in Thailand to send you a set;)
Thats rite.
I had source a pair for rears to sort out my rear disc conversion.
Otherwise its a bitch to do!

80%+ of your braking is performed by the fronts on the Jazz so upgrading front brakes will have a much bigger impact on brake performance than bothering with the rears.
If you have a look at the NCAP crash video footage for the Jazz the rear wheels are not even on the ground.

it's really REALLY not necessary. complete waste of money upgrading the rears
or just salvage one from a wrecked o'seas jazz
I'll think about it after the warranty period's over.

good Idea.. For me upgrading the front one should be enough if you still run with L15A

One thing to think about for you guys that think rear discs do not improve braking. Why would Honda go to all the trouble and EXPENSE of mounting rear disc brake systems on Vtec models in SOME countries with all the expense of manufacturing, stocking a new set of parts and modifying repair manuals to reflect TWO totally different systems? Don't you think Honda engineers did some testing before making the decision to make a whole new setup??? And would they do it if there was no improvement;)
That's a good point to raise Claymore. I didnt say that upgrading rear disc brake system doesn't improve braking performance but I do think about MONEY to PERFORMANCE ratio as well.
It's clearly that disc brake is better than drum brake but for people that dont have OEM rear disc, like me, I do prefer upgrading the front one to have a better performance than go for an OEM rear one. any way, it's just my opinion.
I do accept that all things that you've raise is all correct.

But conversely, why do you think that if discs are available in other markets, they don't make them available in Autralia?
Bottom line is they DO NOT improve braking performance on the road. On the track, yes, but even then, Spoon ran their Jazz with drums for the first few years and the discs at the rear are only because the drums heat up too quickly after repeated use because they aren't able to dissipate the heat effectively.
I have never everhad a problem with the drums and I have done plenty of hard driving. Even those that track their car have reported that it takes many laps before the rears start to lose their effectiveness.
Fronts is where you need the upgrade. Rears are just for show with the L15
