How much do they cost approx and is it hard to put on an EG Gli?
Apart from ECU, what else do i need to change?

probably $2-500 for the entire engine + gearbox
IT should bolt into a GLi easy - all you need is Si driveshafts.
The wiring is exactly the same i believe

So all i need are engine, gearbox, ECU and Si driveshaft?
That's all?

off the top of my head . Yes. You can reuse all your other parts ( mounts , EFI wiring and fuel lines) etc

All is needed
-Engine (prefer it complete, saves time mucking around)
-Gearbox
-Shafts
-ECU
Everything else will bolt up.
fatboyz39 will have my current D16A8 setup in a couple of weeks time as he does a B16A conversion on my EG. It puts out 95.8hp at the wheels, so you might want to talk to him to work out a deal for you if you are serious about an Si conversion.

CMIIW,
I don't know the rules in brisbane, but in vic you can't put older engine in your car. si engine is older than any EG gli.
