Are your CD's clean? Does it happen to a new/clean CD as well? Perhaps the CD laser has moisture buildup on the lens.

Other than that, it sounds like a loose connection. Pull the deck out and check the RCA/Speaker connections.

If the connections are ok, use a multimeter to check the continuity of the speaker wires from the rear of the deck/amp, to the speakers/crossovers.

is that only happen when you play CD or radio as well ? coz you dont need to pull your stereo for loosing connection if doesnt do it when you play radio

Moisture buildup is caused by high humidity, so closing the air vents and windows, and running the A/C for a while should clear it up.

And yeah, its not a loose connection if the problem doesnt happen with the radio :P

u know i had the same problem aswell, it turns out that water had somehow got through the side of my door (perhaps when the windows were down during a rain or maybe after a carwash) and caused the speaker cables to short out. all i had to do was re-wire my deck and replace the wet speaker cables

If it goes away and comes back sometimes meaning one of ur speaker wires are touching the chassis. Check if the wires are sticky tape properly.

Most cases, when you were driving, you will come across a "bump" that bump probably move the wires from touching the chassie. It will eventually touch again

NOTE: chassis is GND

Good luck, hope that helps

are you sure your deck is clipped into the plug properly?

Sounds like for whatever reason speaker wires are shorting and the HU's internal amp is going into 'protection' mode. As it's not isolated to just CD's etc.
Or it's overheating it when you crank it.

If it happens again just let me check it out at uni. I wanna see your new ride anyhow, and I always have a multimeter with me

If it crackels when it stops and starts then its definatly an RCA connection

I just had a similar prob in my car...sooo annoying....go over a bump and bam it looses sound go over another bump and it was back....was just loose connection for me

But if there's no external amp there's no RCAs to be poorly connected

Good info here,
My car had the same problem once before.

I would recommend you get it check it out, if you leave it and the problem comes back, you have a pretty good chance of killing your deck
