Hey guys

I want to get 20" rims for my civic, do any of you know what the legal rim size in NSW is? Is it 2" ontop of standard size?

does anyone here have 19" + rims on their civic?

here are the bad boys i want. got the idea from some civic in singapore. i reckon it looks hot!

Firstly I dont think its legal but who cares. Still if you're gonna go for this sort of mod. I think stick with 19s because 20s will be ridiculously oversized on a Civic. Ive seen Civic on 19s and it looks nice.

In victoria i was told its 2" from stock. So 2006 model 16" -> 18", 2007 model 17" -> 19". Im sure you can get away with 19"s on a 2006 model. Not sure about NSW.
Ive seen 20"s on a few civic and dam it looks hot. Yours looks quite nice. For me, i would go for something like this in gunmetal grey/black with a chrome around the edge of the rim.

I believe the offset is around +44/+45.

I think 8.5 is going to cause some serious scraping when cornering.

Am no wheel expert, others can confirm if true.

it will depend on the offset if its going to fit (but rolling the fenders will be essentially for it to not rub). I use 17x7 +38 with 225/45/17 and it rubs when I hit dips at high speed. keeping the 45 offset will cause some problems with the inner clearance I believe.

yea search lol.. i started this topic AGERS ago.. max sizes that will fit

20 x 9.5 on rear 20 x 9 on front

BUT need gaurds rolled for that, 20 x 8.5 all round fit.. ofset needs to be 39 on front and 37 on rear... dont second guess... i have them and have had them fitted.
coil overs will be needed to stop rubbing.
there heavy and really slow down the car... 17" will really perform well on the car

Two Rims i'm stuck between.

These ones are hot, But I think you'll definitely notice/prone to scratches.

I like the black lip but i bet you in a few years, black rims with chrome lip would be a thing of the past. They could be lighter than the first ones and scatches would only make it as far as the lip.

I think the first ones are hotter. btw, i'm only getting 17 inch wheels so the first ones will look bigger.

It's a headache. Your opinions are welcome! Just to let you know, my car is black.

Nice choice on the Widetracks there Shimian  - I've had my eye on those recently, mainly because they are similar in style to the Mugen GP's - hard to find 7-spoke in that style.

For the widetracks, what colour suit with the bluish silver?

Ha! I was just about to ask the same question of everyone else! (seeing mine's bluish silver too)

Looks like the Widetracks only come in shadow chrome with the chrome lip - so it's probably just a case of rocking up to Tempe and checking it out first hand, unless you were going to re-spray/powdercoat them afterwards.

Actually, I'll be up that way hopefully on Saturday, I'll let you know if I get the chance to compare them up against the FD.

I reckon if ur going purely for looks then go 20's...if you want a bit of performance out of ur rims/tyres then go down a notch 17/18's will do the job nicely...

I quite liked the original set of rims u picked out...you're the one who will be looking at them all the time...so make your decison wisely...
