hello,
im thinking of getting new set of headers for my dc2r. Which one would be best?
- Fujitsubo super ex
- Spoon
- Toda
- Toda version 2
- Mugen
thanks
Yeh im in the same boat, but im after a full exhaust setup.
1. Which one will give me the most power
2. Which one will create less noise
3. Which one doesn't break an arm and leg to get them.
Another brand to look at is 5zigen, is that any good too, i know 5zigen is cheaper out of SPOON, MUGEN, TODA and Fujitsubo. Please don't mention X-FORCE...

Hmm well i havent got it all installed yet so can't comment on power difference, but I have 5zigen headers and a Spoon exhaust system. The headers look fantastic and in my mind are great value. i mean they are like 680. Compare that with almost double for Todas and Mugen etc. I would say definately consider 5zigen!

Have u considered BC???
Cheaper than the ones you listed and yields same results

Have you considered , that a header by itself will not increase power noticeably at all (on a DC2R) It might free up some KW but its not worth the $$$ spent.
IMO if you must have a header , get the cheapest option IE a JDM 4-1 header.

^ I've seen that happen, my mate put on a set of headers on his DC2R without upgrading his zorst, and he didnt really feel any gains, he actually said it felt worse..

i would be upgrading exhaust later on too

If so, then my advice is keep the header out of the car until its all ready to go on for a noticable difference

straight out of my ass.
But hey , go get whatever header you want. On a B18c7 which is quite optimized engine a header of any type doesnt do too much to the power output. On lesser engines with more restrictions headers will have more of an impact.

You dont lose A/C with Buddyclub Headers
They redesign the header to clear ac and power steering

Aussie spec ITR headers are rubbbish.... JDM 4-1 work well but abit exxy 2nd hand.
We got one of Dynodave custom headers, it made a HUGE difference over the crappy aussie headers. Picked up over 10kw midrange.

yeah i'd tend to agree....anybody who has seen the AUDM dc2r headers would realise how restrictive they are.

all the headers metioned will be running a 2.5" cat so u will notice a difference in power delivery the motor revs a lot better
are u going for 4-1 or 4-2-1's ?
i have the toda 4-2-1's no regrets in paying for performance and quality
big difference noticed without tuning yet
there is also a brand called maxim works too

Yeap most good quality header runs a step system. We found the headers we have 4-2-1 are very good. Top end is excellent.

Dave's header is literally waiting forever, you might wanna skip that option unless you can find a second hand one.

so say a stock b18c7 is making 100kw atw on a dyno
get a mugen header, it wont increase the power output by much?
how about a full mugen exhaust + tune. will it hit 115kw?

I got 4-2-1 Mugen header + Apexi N1 cat-back + Comptech CAI + VAFC = 121kw atw
On a DC2R of course.

What is the actual difference between Toda and Toda version 2? If the car is to be used on the street/daily driving.

- Additional reinforcement plate

just to put it out there...i have a no name brand set up of headers and exhaust....stock air box...and pulled 114atw. no ecu/tune.
so i guess just look for quality and dyno sheets..not necessarily branding. :)
