Is $800 include installation of HID in jazz worth it? expensive? colour is white 6000k (taiwan made) or (Japan made) $1000 for 6000k.

otherwise the 8000k is $950 taiwan and $1150 for japan made these colour is abit blue and white and purple.. very nice colour but dont know if its legal

if anyone wants to do it.. i know a place in sydney cbd (broadway) that will do it and gives more discount if 2 people getting it

i think it's a continuing debate of whether they are legal/illegal.

dat's quite a bit of $$ to spend for zero performance gain, but priceless gawks. :) wateva floats ur boat i guess. hehe..

but IMO, those prices seem like the going prices for HID kits/lights.

i can mine 6000k as well and will get install this weekend with my cf bonnet
depends if u after the look or performance
but imo, jazz is mainly go for look unless u got many $$$ to spend on GO
for my car, i will mainly go Look with IEH setup only

Type G : How much does your HID cost include install? let me know how much the bonnet cost you to install as well.

310 for a rear spoiler is it worth it? rear spoiler on a jazz, does it really improve anything?

my HID is off my frd's car so i get it really cheap for fun
but my frd can get for $700 8000k
install worth nth at all since it can be a DIY job

Bonnet? u just need a frd to help u to hold the bonnet, no need to pay at all.

wtf? carmate sell mugen rear wing for $200 i think.
Wing never improve anything... unless u drive really fast or will improve the look at least
hehehe

Try Google on this topic but I recall reading something that anything above 4300K is pretty much useless and will not enhance vision other than showing a different (weird) light than a bright white/blue which is around 4300-5000K.

All OEM Xenons/HIDs are around 4200-4300k which would support what you're saying slowcrx.

I would assume people like BMW, Merc, Porsche, Bosch etc know what they are doing when it comes to what offers the best performance.

As for prices, I popped into SRS here in Sydney today and saw a H4 kit for $599. It's a 6000K Taiwanese stuff. Not bad considering you can go annoy them if it blows up :)

When have this thread becomes a "mine's cheaper than yours" sort? LOL :)

Call Hella or OSRAM up and see how much a globe or ballast cost then you might think about how important it is the warranty than buying it on the cheap.

I wouldn't go over 4500k. Have heard of some HID owners with 6000k being defected. If you're just after looks then buy those blue globes from the rice shops

There was a young guy getting around Syd in an A4 and he installde 8000k HIDs. He had to remove them because he was always getting defected. They were just way too blue.

Good to see you Ed!

Hey guys, you're paying way too much for your HIDs.

I got mine 8000K Hi/Lo for $500 with 2 years replacement warranty! But had to pay extra $80 for installation coz i really had no idea how to install them on the Jazz (Too LITTLE SPACE!). I've followed cops and stuff never got defected :P

cheap HID kit never worth at all
coz the warranty is only for yr HID kit as if those kit are not well water proof, it may even catch fire.......
