can you change the size of a tip of a twinloop without affecting the sound? i got a no brand twinloop and the tip is too big. 3" i think. its to ricey for my liking. it also sticks out a bit too like 2cm so i wanna get it shortened if i can change the tip at the same time.

(Thanks beeza for the pic)

The tip of a twin loop is perforated for a reason

I think Aimre is talking about the Muffler (Where the perforated section is) while Nico is talking about "tip" (The little section closest to the camera). If you change the muffler section then sound will change, but if you just slap on say a Stainless Steel bang-on bling bling tip (it normally slips right over the muffler) it doesn't change the sound.

Exhaust tip is this

Notice how the Exhaust Tip wraps around the Muffler in the centre? I think thats what you mean lolz...

If its welded on, or bolted over an existing tip, a tip is a tip.

Definitions of tip:

the extreme end of something; especially something pointed

ANYWAYS, back to gbang007,

Reducing the tip length, shouldnt change the noise much at all, u probably wont even notice it.

If it is perforated or has a fancy tip, the exhaust shop can cut cut just after the muffler body, trim it, and weld it back on.

In the pic, they would cut and tha small section of pipe between the muffler body, and the xforce tip (the fatter bit)

suprisingly changing the tip will change the pitch of the noise also. I noted this when i changed my tip. It doesn't matter if its got baffling in the tip, both mine were striaght tips with slightly different shape

different tip = different sound

tips do affect side. my motor backfires a lot, and a backfire during a street drag blasted off my tailpipe/tip. now it sounds quite a damn bit meatier, altho its rather annoying when it resonates.
