Hi All,
I bought a new 97 auto prelude the other week and after my 2nd tank of fuel the engine light came on while cruising on the m4. I pulled over and turned the car off but when I turned it back on the engine light went away.
I went to hanny's and got the code pulled and it was code 23. The mechanic reset the ecu and said that if it comes back on then it's a faulty knock sensor.
Well after 1.5 tanks of fuel later it came back on at the exact same spot on the m4 cruising again (suspicous)
Any ideas on what I should do? Would a faulty knock sensor work for so long and then only go off 'sometimes' ?
I thought if your sensor is screwed then it's screwed there's no half way ...
not sure what to do and if it's worth paying the big $$$ to replace it..
