i got a few stone chips on the bonnet i'd like to fix so you dont notice em.

how i used to do iton my old ford was

1. use rust converter
2. use primer
3. spray paint in lid of can and use tiny brush (supplied w/can) to put a small dob of paint on the affected area.

unfortuately this would like a noticeable dot/dob/lump

is there a better way to fix stone ships?

(also wanna fix scratches too as the dumb arse dog jumped on my bonnet and her toe nails scratched the paint,in some places deep)

Your best bet if its that serious would be to respray

Otherwise you can get a Cutter and Polish....that would have been ok for minor stone chips....but for the dog scratching it would probly make it more noticeable

Touch up paint using a toothpick. Do it before it rusts so you don't need rust covertor or primer. Build up each thin layer, waiting 5 minutes in between to harden. Once it is above the level of the paint, let it dry for a few hours and then come back and clay the paint back down. Don't wait too long before claying or the paint will be too hard to clay down anymore.

If there is no more hope, there is always Langka.

hmm.. cant afford a respray, will try the tooth pick method.

have seen a product in autobarn or maybe it was supercheap called ColourCure.

when the bonnet is warm u rub this chipstik over the chip so it melts/fills the chip, u leave 2 dry then apply this hardener/polish leave to till it films' then buff off.

anyone used that b4? my old man used ot on his black F250 reckons its ok.

Turtlewax colourcure is temporary. It's just a coloured wax-stick and a sealant. and as you know, wax is opaque and dull.
