Black Bonnet Respray

im thinkn of resprayin my bonnet black... n im jus wonderin how much it wuld cost...


ne1 hav an estimate fo me? or if they noe ne gud cheap resprays places in western syd??

Cost me 360 in total, sand it back, primer it, respray to 2puc black, with gloss finish

not sure about how much it is to spray, but i assume buying a 2nd hand one is cheaper. thats what i did =D

you should go around to different smash repairs and get quotes as some do it cheaper then others but a quick estimate would be $400-500

go to wreckers n see if u can get a cheap black hood = should cost u less than sprayin a different coloured hood .....

if your lucky all u might need is a good buffin ....

1. You can get a aftermarket bonnet at SSS (Villawood), and it all black.
2. If you can, sand down your whole bonnet, you will save a bit of money.
Sand it down with water proof sand paper (800), sand down with water.
With the painting, it depends what you want. IF you want to paint it in the oven, it will probably cost you like $250 (Cost of hiring the oven is about 150). The cheapest way would be, to paint the bonnet outside without using oven, it will probably cost you $150 or less.
Painting the bonnet outside is not bad, it will still look shiny and etc, the worse that can happen is you get a bit of dust on the bonnet, which you can cut polish later on.
