how much litres of atf?

need to change the atf on a gli eg but i dunno how much to buy
don't have the manual handy, so can anyone enlighten me as to how much oil auto tranny's take?

not sure how many litres, but there's a dip stick for auto tranny's
the handle is usually yellow...

i just top it up to where its indicated on the dip stick...

no manual handy(or at all, didn't get it with the car)
tried searching here but only found recommendations of what to use not how much
i know manual boxes take about 2.3L or so, just not sure if its the same case with the auto boxes

i changed a ATF it was about 2.3Litres also. This was an EK D series

make sure u check the level with the car on in "P" or "N" after u run it thru all the gears

its also good to flush the auto a few times to get all the old fluid in the torque convertor out

Remember to turn the car on run it through the gears and turn off then check it within 30 seconds. Wish they were like other cars where you have it running in N then check it =.=

remember to get genuine Honda ATF :thumbsup:

just get a 4L bottle, it'll b cheaper than buying per L, and it'll b safer too just incase u require more than wat u'd expect. the left overs can b used for next change.

In my area, they only sell it in 1L bottles, so you gotta buy like 3.
which adds to about 45$ (MTF) not too sure about ATF

genuine ATF do come in 4L bottle, so perhaps look tat up at ur dealers if interested. :thumbsup:
