i wouldn't go near D2 coilovers, have heard many bad stories of build quality and fitment issues.. for a few hundred more you would be able to get tein ss, which are a much better product all round and value for money.

the springs rates are also incredibly high.. not even my circuit rx7 runs 12kg/mm springs!! when i had it.. it ran 8kg upfront and 6kg rears... my gtr runs the same.. stiff as!
12kg is just suicide!

12kg/mm isn't too bad unless you run the damper at full stiffness. I have the BC N+ on my Euro and it's 12 kg/mm front, 6 kg/mm rear and i drive on crappy roads everyday. It's stiffer than stock but it's not uncomfortable at all.

i hope u realise that dampers dont make ur car stiffer... they just absorb bumps. Springs give u ur stiffness and ride height. dampers just control spring oscillation. nothing more

If you are reducing suspension movement with the dampers aren't you making your suspension stiffer?

I've seen those on ebay before and i was the same as you a little surious
BUT after reading the ad near the bottom it said "May not be sent in original packaging."
which made me a little concerned anyway...i would rather buy local and pay a little extra and know what your getting for sure...!
as for how this suspension goes on the road i wouldn;t know i'll leave that to some of the other guys
just my 2cents

a while ago, (bout 3 years ago now) a member on this board, Pum[Z], who has sold his euro long ago, had those purple D2 coilovers. ive never heard him complain about them
but me personally, i steered clear from them. even though a fellow euro owner gave it the nod, i too have heard many bad stories about quality issues on other models such as civics.
i agree with traumatized. I would pay a few hundred more to get quality tein coilovers like superstreet or flex's. or u might go for a koni shocks/eibach spring combo. i got the tein flex's.
i think something as important as suspension on car, quality should NOT be compromised.... but then again, thats to do with any modifications u do on a car.
remember, quality speaks for itself.
I also use D2 last time & i didn't have problem as well, if you set the damper setting to the softest the ride still softer than stock. I'll be selling my D2 soon :)
