whats brighter?

looking to put some lights in my car under dash and seats but dunno whether to use l.e.ds or neons, so my question is which is proven to be the brightest, and if ne one has a 94 eg civic sedan and has installed neons under the dash what size neons did you use and how did you secure them?

Neons are brighter. LEDs are point light sources and don't scatter light as well.

Neons are definately brighter. I've got a 10 inch neon on each side they are screwed into the plastic underneath the dash you could also use the double sided tape that comes with the neons.

i got 2 8" neons under the dash, skinny ones so you can put them anywhere just put them up with zip ties. I 'had' LEDs inside the cluster (just get blue ones that replace your stock bulbs, 6 of them T5 from memory) but they kept blowing so now i'm back to stock for now
