Ok some of u might remember I posted a message in this forum a while back regarding the idle on my DC2 VTIR . Basicly what happens is the car revs by itself when idle .

THE UPDATE.........

I took it to my local Honda dealer and they replaced my idle stepper motor with a new one . Nothing happened just did the same thing . So they put it on the laptop again and found out that when i turn the ignition on the computer (ECU i think) thinks that the car is running when its not . Another way that they put it was that when the ignition is on (but not the car ) the car is outputing to the laptop that it is rev's are at 2000.

THE SOLUTION......

None at the moment I'm hoping someone has a solution as my Honda dealer has no answers for me . Maybe some one knows some one they can recomend I call .

Well if its the ECU, get a new one, while ur there get a perfomance ecu eg APEXI POWER FC or HONDATA etc...yet if u wanna save money try gettin piggy back such as e management which then u can over ride the stock ecu....Ask a mechanic though, just a suggetion i'm not a online mechanic....

well i also had an idling problem in my car, while i was driving it would suddenly rev at 1500rpm and sit there.

well i took it to my mechanic at good performance and he believed it was my air control valve which he replaced, although the problem stayed. he then replaced a temperature sensor and it was better from there.

i hoped that helped
