put your old chip back in until you can find someone that can install the new chip for you properly.

update---ok the car starts without the chip so im suggestin the electrition may of damaged the circuitboard sliightly there fore causing the "limp mode"
also before it went "limp" i was reving it over 3000rpm this is where it was kinda of shutting itself off and reving back up ---
argh

i put sum "mugen" chip in it.. it was duppose to give me higher revlimiter and sum other shit--i think the electriton damanged a bit of the circuit board... i see a lil stuff up-

f22 non vtec.. will that be compatable with the f22b (vtec) engine?
hmmz, h22a accord ill PM you LOL

i got 1994 honda accord vti with the f22b1 SOHC vtec.

sound like your ecu has either a bridged track or a open track to the rom.
is it going into limp mode striaght away or after a few min

i just rang honda and got a price for a new ecu and the price is $3475.60 not a misprint.

POA ECU used in the Accord is not very (hackable) so not very popular, so they tend to go very cheap on ebay ,although the USDM ECU may be different and may not accept the AUDM ROM. you could pick up a cheap P28 or P30. there are ROMS around for the F22B1 to suit the P30.

ok cool. computer running good, but have i caused damage to my engine? i drove about 800mtrs
when i start it up i put a piece of cardboard 30cm away from the exhaust tips and it blew out sum black sooty liquid stuff...

haha, yeh, running rich sux when fuel is too $119.9 per litre, i have yellow number plates but after a week the back one has a nice coat of soot over it.

ECU-MAN

with the ECU in limp home mode the engine would have been running pretty rich, just like piod says, bitta Vtec and it will go away

so what was the problem?
rich is nothing 2 worry about.. its also possibly because of the new mugen chiop.

well thanks to ECU MAN he was able to give me a hand by fixing my problems.
in the end my new chip was not used and me old chip was kept.

thanks again ECU-MAN ^_^

damn wouldn't mind revving a lil harder than the -- 6500 (i think) rpm LOL

but with peak power at around 5500rpm, there is no point revving harder ;)

good to see it was solved

no probs dundas, glad I could help.
Weq, there was a cut track in the ecu between the MCU and one of the other big ass chip. also there 74HC373 IC was rooted. the rom he had made for him was based on the USDM, so it didnt work in AUDM or its was just a bad ROM data.
