Its electronic power steering , basically no fluid or pulley running off your engine. Its s seperate unit whihc is smaller and more powerful
be happy , NSX's have it too

Why Did Honda Use EPS?

Honda went with an electric power steering system mainly because (1) It's compact and light and (2) it's not parasitic (robbing power from the engine) since it only draws electric power on demand. But it also provides precise control and is easy to vary the amount of assistance with an electric unit. Plus it's simpler to install (especially in a mid- or rear-engined car), there are no hydraulic lines to break, and it's quieter.

ok the EPS has a knob and that it has a + and - sign what does that mean?

increase and decrease input or resistance. Turn it all the way to - and then to + and see if that makes much of a difference in steering response.

can it be adapted to any other car? like a DA Integra or an EG Civic (provided the rack is the same dimensions etc)

physically , perhaps its as easy as swapping the tie rod ends with your own cars and it might bolt on. But it needs a ECU to control that ~ if you could get that from a existing NSX perhaps it could co exist with your normal ECU as say a piggy back system.

it looks like a completely seperate system to the ECU. Just like the ABS is. So it should be pretty easy to put in the car as it shouldn't have much to do with the rest of the car. (hopefully)

Although i think you'd need the whole steering rack, not just the ends because it looks to have its own gearbox.

yes i know you need the entire rack lol , i meant to swap your own tie rods onto teh ends of this EPS rack ( to suit , length wise) - IF its too short etc.
IT is a separate ECU that controls it , but who knows if it recieves a piggybck signal from the ECU at all
