Is the INTEGRA, LUXURY i-VTEC? or non vtec :s

hmm not 100% sure but i think the lux is running the k20 not k20a/k20z but both motors have i-vtec

luxury will have a different version of vtec compared to the type s.
really should be called vtec-e as its designed for economy rather than power, it runs on 12 valves and switches to 16 at vtec switch point.
this is on the intake cam only, no switching at all one exhaust cam

Thanks for the posts :) Theres a big difference between the TYpe S and lux. 118kw compared to 154kw bit of a price diff aswell. Can the exhaust cam thing be added matt?

ah not easily/cheaply if at all, would be much much simpler to buy the type s,
for the small price diff between the 2 models, id get the type s unless u have to have auto or somthign

I think that there are enough DC5S vs DC5R threads around the place, we don't really need another one, especially when this thread is about whether the 2005 DC5 luxury has i-vtec or not.

And to answer the question again, yes the 2005 DC5 Luxury has i-vtec. time to close this thread?
