looking into a gearknob.. dont know which one i need to buy because of the thread pattern, so i look on the spoon catalogue, and apparently theres 2 diff thread patterns..

Size 18mm - Thread 1.25mm
or
Size 10mm - Thread 1.5mm

why the difference, and which one do i get ?

ask felix.. he has a BC one for dc5r... so he would know the size

If there's only two options, i'd just run out to your car and measure the diametre of your gearstick and see if it's more like 1cm across or 2cm across.
You dont even have to take the gearstick off. Yay general maths! Get a piece of wire/string/hair and measure the circumference of the upper part of the gearstick. If the string is more like 3cm long, it's 10mm. if the string is more like 5-6cm long to reach around, it's 18mm
Or grab a nut lying around that you know is a 10mmx1.5 mm thread and see if it fits on.

yehh.. i would.. but i didnt know wtf the numbers 18mm/10mm LOL

i knew the 1.25/1.5mm though lol thanks for the advice ni99a's !
