Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me how much I would expect for a professional respray of a s2000? I'm taking about converting a white s2k to berlina black or a metallic black colour. Where's the best place to get this done, and how much would it be?

LOL at this bloke.

I'm thinking of Changing my Silver to GPW or a totally different custom colour.

Ill post up prices once I found out myself.

It should be Under $2k with paint because there isn't alot to paint in a s2000. Small car and no roof.

There was a white one advertised in the Tradingpost for $35K of a dealer last week. No idea what year it was though.

Hope this helps.

paint is cheap, but regardless of the size of the car its still labour intensive and time consuming. to get it done professionally your looking at $3K+ ... thts the quote i got off a mate though.

Tht includes stripping down the original paint and getting a smooth surface before paint...or you can get a dodgy one done, which is sprayed ontop of your current paint.. which adds extra weight and may look like ass

Yes, I would want to get it done professionally meaning stripping down the old paint. How would it compare to an original berlina black colour? Will I be able to tell the difference? Or could someone definetly tell that it has been resprayed?

Anyone else got a figure on the cost?

to get it to a stage where you can't tell if its been painted would cost $7G+, as you'll need to completely strip the entire car and spray the entire frame.

it should be okay to allow this topic as it's less relevent to a specific product, brand or company/business, and more about peace of mind based on a consumer's viewpoint, particularly if a member of this forum has had a previous/several experience(s).

I would think if you wanted to change the colour of the car from one honda stock colour to another honda stock colour, unless you have alot of sentimental, or monetary value invested in the car, it would be more worthwhile selling the car and buying the desired colour, this might be a hassle, but that depends on what it's worth to you, is (ballpark figure) $7000 worth the value of time you save in selling yours and finding another example?

its not a simple or easy job to make such a huge change in color

u have to realise that ur going from a light color to a dark color, so evrything wil have to be resprayed

engine bay, boot, doors, anywer wher the old silver metal can be seen will have to be resprayed, otherwise it will look like a joke

so imo, 7k doesnt sound too far off the mark

if ur car was black and u wanted to respray it black, thats not too bad and wont really set u back more than 2.5k, proper quote

as every1 has been saying, ur better off selling and buying a black s2k

How much is XXX style threads arent allowed,
You'll have to do your own research unfortunately.

ps. Sell your white one, and buy a different colored one.
You have no idea how lcuky you are to be owning a nice white s2k.
