Hi Guys,

On my way home from work, press the button, wind down window, swipe card, exit car park, push button to close window... BANG...

The window will not close at all. Got home and took the door trim apart and one of the cables that helps close/open the window snapped.. ARGHHH....

The motor seems fine. Is this expensive to fix at all? Would I have to replace the whole power window kit?

Do I have to go back to Honda for this?

Cheers

no the regulator is like the mechanism, the motor is just what winds it up and down.
lol.
meh, who knows, call up honda first, see how much they want for a new one, never know could be cheap
lol.

I guestimate $175 for the reg minus the motor :)

Honda wanted $650 for the whole power window kit for the DC5 drivers side.
Second hand was $250.00.. but still looking around...

The cable snapped in half so i couldnt really fix it.

Picked up a second hand unit for $200 and installed it
I wrote up a DYI guide so hopefully that will be up soon
