CRX engine vs Civic vtir engine

Whats the difference between the two?? Are they both the same engine b16a?? or is the one in the crx a tuned down version as i know both are relatively small v-tec engines.

Assuming you are talking about the Gen2 Crx (88-91) they have the first gen b16a which makes 160hp. The vtir civic and the DelSol CRX have the second gen b16a which makes 170hp. Hope that answers your question.

*FOR AUSTRALIAN DELIVERED MODELS*
The Civic Vti-R (ie 96-98 EK4 and 99 - 00 EM1) Has a B16a2 which is rated at 160hp. Like the Civic Vti-R the 92 - 95 CRX Delsol has a B16a2 that puts out 160Hp as well.

As for the 89 - 91 CRX EF8 SiR, it only comes from japan and has a B16a rated at 160PS*. In japan they have the eqivelent of the Civic VTi-R called an SiR, it's B16a puts out 170Hp. The japanese delivered Delsol also gets 170hp varient of the B16a.

*PS does not = Hp

96-00 = OBD2/A/B etc

reason why i'm asking whether it's facelift is that your car could be a 95 make, but brought out in 96 etc.

and my seats are black with the red insert in the middle
