Hey everyone

Sorry to bother you call but just curious. The rear speakers on the euro i've been told are woofers. Are they sub woofers or super woofers?..

Also, i just put in a subwoofer 12" JL Audio running off LRx4.300 Audison Amp. It sounds good but, should i keep that, or try changing the two woofers at the rear and put in 2 good sound quality ones and let it run from the Audison amp?..

Cause the 12" isn't that loud, it was loud in my Lancer which had smaller boot, but put in a euro which has twice the size of a lancer boot it loses the sound quality and bass..

Now rims,

What do you guys think of these rims? ..(Machined/Silver) $2k with low profile tyres..
I am getting 19's, Offset is +45 .. What's the legality of this in Australia(NSW) ..

Some say "no more than x inches bigger, than the biggest rim your cars model came out factory with".
So say you had a GLI lancer with 13"s, and the MR came out with 15"s, you could put 17" on your car. So say luxury have 17's on them, i should be fine?

Mines Black 05 model(not luxury).

Cheers, Ash

Edit: I'll be lowering the car 1-1.5inch with King Springs, got quoted $400..

The rear speakers are just cheap 1-way 6x9's that sound "boofy" when the volume is loud. New 6x9's will definetely sound better.

The Amp is four channel, so why cant you run the Sub off two channels and the 6x9's of the other two?

get the sub unported.
or smaller port.
so you get better sound quality rather than SPL.

or..get a more powerful sub, lol

I've got a 10"sub,unported with a Kenwood amp with 120W RMS and it sounds good.Unported subs tend to produce a "tighter"sound than ported ones

woofers are speakers that play low frequency around 150-80hz, while sub-woofers are 100hz and below.... doubt those 6X9 can do anything decent below 100hz with out cone buckling and distorting.

JL got pretty good subs, what model you got there in the first place? What sort of enclosure you got there? You dont expect a JL12W1 or JL12W0 to perform like a JL12W7. LRx4.300 is not that powerful either.

When you are saying about changing the rear woofers, are you talking about the stock speakers at the rear? I would probably throw them out, as I think they are a nuisance.

Where abouts you live geeky?.. What rims aswell? Same as mine you going for or something different?

Well i am going to see how the 19's look first.. But most probably lower it 1" with kings.. I read about it somewhere that stock shocks would get damaged a lot if you lower more than 1.5"..

Coilovers as everyone would say is the right way to go..
