View Full Version : removing DC5 rear seats.

Aim: remove rear seats, pretty simple.
Required: 10 mm spanner (a 10 mm socket will make it easier though)
Steps:

1. undo velcro from boot lining.

2. undo bolts on right side seat.

3. push seat forward and lift out.

4. undo bolts on left side seat.

5. angle seat as shown then push to the left.

6. there will be one bolt holding down the bottom part of the seat, undo this and lift/wiggle seat until it pops out.

7. once you have removed the boot lining and space saver it will look like this.

Other Comments: not sure on other states, but in NSW you will need to get your car registered as a 2 seater if you plan on driving it on the streets like this.

may as well go the whole hog and remove the rear and side plastic panels
