HE BLEW AT IT AND IT SPUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG thats like 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 HP gain!!! NOT
I dont see the logic behind this but to suk stupid ppl into wasting money...

100% agreed, how can putting a fan in the way of your induction give you any gain whatsoever!?!

aparently its meant to remove alot of the turbulence from the intake air and aparently make a better burn.
I can't see it making a noticeble gain in power.

looked into these before, they try to replicate a Turbo setup but pushing more air into the throttle body and creating boost. The only problem is they don't create much difference over stock piping and make virtually no difference. I've read reviews that they make air intakes worse.
SOmething to stay away from. If your interested you cn buy the motors from a marine shop for about $25.

Those fans have been proven to lose HP, as it is just blocking the path of air entering the intake. On Hyundai forums somewhere.

if you want more power you should look into something like this:

i bet any money its the FORCE FLOW one... seems similar to all the other computar fan variants.. but hey.. Hot4s advertises it lol.
on another note... the real electric superchargers connect a high torque motor to a turbo housing (centrifugal i think their called) and actually produce ~7psi in that trim.... but mind you, those things can drain a whole battery in like 30secs hence the need for additional batteries in the boot... they can't be constantly used and are best setup with a TPS sensor for WOT as well as an on/off switch.

Have they been proven to work? I'd like to see if they have.
Sounds interesting, but ill still never waste my money on it.

yea, i was looking into this for a friend's lancer some years ago and their reasoning for the fins to make gains was to direct the flow of air into a spiral like a tornado, which apparently creates more vacuum...
i havent seen a review or anything though...

see superchargers are OK... electric ones are generally worse because:
- as we know, the higher the revs, the less positive pressure they produce. they are unlike a turbo where boost pressure is semi-constant (relative to) with exhaust flow due to turbine design.
- superchargers just produce static boost on its own and has no 'dynamic' boost pressure
Now if an electric supercharger barely produced 1psi at idle and by 6krpm my engine was causing -3psi intake pressures from simple combustion vacuum then that supercharger is a ****ing hindrance and a half at higher revs and i wouldn't want that shit falling apart and getting sucked into my engine

I didnt think that there would be enough air going in to make the fan spin so much that it does that hey.
Thats what i dont understand.

thats true... notice how all of them go on about massive cfm flow rates as opposed to boost PRESSURE.... flow rate don't mean shit if it can't create boost pressure... they can't create boost pressure because of the cheap materials used that would just shatter the parts back towards the air filter if it could even maintain pressure.
i'll try and find a vid... there was one other NON-REAL electric supercharger i saw once... actually produced 2psi boost.
they proved it by blowing a freaking log with it, and was only connected to a 270cca battery... and i guarantee the log wasn't balsa wood either.

No problem, everyone has asked that question, including me.
Just dont fall for the 10hp chips on ebay aswell, cos they do bad for your engine.

if u are convince by the ebay supercharger, you might as well spend the $200+ on putting some neons on ur car.. coz it provides the same result.. all looks.. no go....lol..

wat if it runs at 25,000rpm and sucking in from a CAI plus it creates a boost preasure of 2.5psi? But 2.5psi is actually ard 0.2bar which is shit.
