10. Using your fingers, grab under the door trim and pull gently. It’s all clips behind the trim

12. Using masking tape, tape up the window to ensure that it wont side down while you’re working. You can do this step right at the beginning if you want.

13. Roll up the plastic inner cover so you have room to work with

http://www.foshaw.com/ozhonda/dc5_pw/016.jpg

14. On the left hand side, undo the 3 bolts that hold the power window motor. In the diagram below, I have already removed the motor.

15. With either someone holding the window or with one hand, hold the window from the inside of the door to stop it from sliding down, remove the temporary tape and slowly side the window down until you can see the 2 bolts that hold the glass to the rail. Once you have undone these 2 bolts, slowly slide the glass back up again and tape it up again

16. There are 4 bolts that hold the rails to the door, remove as per below

http://www.foshaw.com/ozhonda/dc5_pw/019.jpg

17. Take the window regulator out and this is what happened to mine. The cable snapped and the car just happens to be 2 months out of warranty...

18. Comparing the 2nd hand replacement with the broken one

19. Grab the new replacement regulator and hook the motor back in place in the right direction and tighten the bolts and connect the power cable for it.

20. Screw the 4 bolts back in that holds up the rails

http://www.foshaw.com/ozhonda/dc5_pw/024.jpg

21. Connect up the power window buttons and test that the window closer moves up and down and align it back at the holes so you can bolt the glass back.

22. Get someone to hold the glass or use one hand to support the glass from inside the door, remove the masking tape and slowly slide the glass down, remembering to ensure that it slides down in the side guides.

23. Tighten up the 2 bolts that hold the glass to the rails again

http://www.foshaw.com/ozhonda/dc5_pw/027.jpg

24. Test that your window goes back up and down without any problems before you replace the door trim

25. Before you replace your door trim, check to see if any clips have not come off properly. Remove these clips and clip it back onto your door trim

26. Replace the door trim in reverse and test again.

clean the window from your grubby fingers =o)

Other comments:
This took me about 1 hour to remove and replace the entire power window regulator but I hope these instructions will help someone else do it properly and don’t have to think and work it out them self.
