99' Accord, green metallic paint, sun, weather has worn it down in several areas, and there's a patch around the drive door that has the pain really worn down.

Went to K-Mart today, guy recommended the Kitten Cut, but I went with Cut and Polish No. 2. Anybody got any advice in regards to rejuvenating the paint>? Feel very rough to the touch.

I believe the clear coat will be gone on just a few lines under the window and the drivers key area.

I'm assuming this from the fact that there seems to be a white border of like plastic that dried up and flaking from the areas.

yep clear coat is gone

that calls for a respray.

But for the toher areas, I'm assuming a cut and polish will do the trick?

What exactly will a respray consist of? It's metallic paint btw.

Approximate cost?

I always like doing things myself, cause I have this feeling mechanics will always try to dodge it and not do things properly like this guy who services our Accord, doesn't really run that smoothly, guess it's just the 170k on it lol
