Together with my girl we seriusly thinking that of moving from Slovenia to Avstralia.
And I thought that you guys could give me some infos about your coutry...
like your lifestayle,prices of flats(rents,...),food,salaries (barmen,plumber,...)

Becouse I would like to ask real people, not some agency.

i live in brisbane (which is north par tof australia). the weather is sunny. we have 4 seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter) - but we dont get snow here. sydney and melb get snow. we get hot weather, we have good beaches

LIFESTYLE: lots of things to do! here in Brisbane, we're abit more laid back compared to the other bigger cities. we got lots of beaches (i live 20min drive to the next beach, sunshine coast is 1hr from my house, gold coast is about 1.5hrs from my house). we have lots of nighclubs and pubs. we got rainforests where u can do camping, bush-walking, see waterfalls, rock-climbing. lots of extreme sports like wakeboarding, surfing, sky-diving, etc.

RENT: ranging from $200-$400/week. the closer you are to the city, the more expensive it becomes. i live about 30kms from the city (30mins on the train) and the rent around here is about $250+ .

FOOD: GREAT FOOD!!! beautiful steaks! beautiful seafood! food not too expensive. My wife and i pay around $200-$250/fortnight (2 weeks) in groceries. but that's just all for food, its other things as well like toiletries, cleaning stuff, etc.

SALARIES: not sure how much barmen earn, but i heard that plumbers get BIG BUX! basically here, the dirtier the job or the more physical it is, the more pay u get (with the exception of doctors, lawyers, architects, or any other professional jobs). Plumbers get paid big money, so do labourers (builders, landscapers, etc).

There's lots of cities to choose from...the main ones would be sydney, melbourne, brisbane.

Sydney is where everyone goes to, its where u can see alot of tourists, its where u can see the Opera house.

Melbourne is the shopping capital of australia. people go there during winter to ski.

Brisbane is alot more relaxing. lots of beaches. We also have Gold Coast which has all the theme parks like Dreamworld, Movieworld, Sea world. We also have Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin - crocodile hunter, not sure if u know him).

wow nice meet, i love the scenery, reminds me of home. Australia is what you make of it, plenty of migrants from ex-yu here. If you decent pay its like anywhere else in the world, you do the jobs that not everybody else can do eg doctor or you do the jobs that alot of people don't wanna do eg labouring. Most semi capable people can easily make ends meet here. By the way if you are thinking about moving up here go south east Queensland,in my opinon apart from the water restrictions everything else is beautiful.
