Hey Guys
I well after 5 hours I've installed both Boost and Oil Pressure Gauge onto the A-pillar and fed all the wires and boost hose down to under the dash.
Looks hot but from this point on I don't really have a clue lol
both Gauges have RED (power) Black (Ground) and Orange (Ignition)
What's the best and easiest place to wire up power & Ground and at what spot do I wire up the Ignition?
Thanks help would be great
Thanks guys

Pick up power & ignition from the spare male spade connectors u'll see on the front of the fuse box, should be about 5 of them.
U will find by putting a test light or meters on the spare terminals & flicking the key to diff positions that 1 will be on all the time(power) & one will come on when key on ignition(ignition).
U will need some female spade terminals from jaycar or similar & dont forget to put a 10A fuse just after coming off the fuse block.
Also get some ring terminals to bolt your grounds to a spare bolt just under the dash going into the chassis somewhere.

Any chance you have some pic's of these spots?
Thanks man

I just happen to have one ............
This is a DC2 fuse box,but yours could be similar.Things in the red box,the writing was for someone elses lights.

I was going to suggest the exact same! lol

lol nice!!
Not 100% sure..
You mean the ones just up from the fuses? 5 in total

Yes the 5 in the red box,u will find 2 of them are permanent(battery) power,1 is ignition power,1 is accessory power & 1 is connected to one of the empty fuses,if i remember right.

Cool
I'll bust out the multimeter tomorrow and see what's what
Any chance you know where the Oil Pressure wires end in the the fuse box too?
Can I wire up both Gauges to the same ignition socket?

Just link both your guages to the same power, that way they will both work at the same time

Yeah I was going to do that was both Ground and power but what about ignition?
Can I also do that with the ignition?

Link both gauges to the same single fuse on both power & ignition.

Cool as...
And the standard Oil Pressure wires end in the the fuse box?

what do u mean by standard oil pressure wires?

what do u mean by standard oil pressure wires?
that standard oil pressure wire that ends up in the cluster.. as the warning light.

Do u mean u want to hook up your new gauge to the existing oil pressure switch in cluster?
The standard oil pressure in the cluster is just a switch on the motor.
You need to add a oil pressure sender to the motor for your gauge to work, usually added to a sandwich plate on the oil filter or similar.
You should of got this sender with the gauge,if not u'll have to buy one.
Im assuming u have an electrical oil pressure gauge(extra wire on gauge goes to sender) as opposed to a mechanical one(needs an oil line feed to gauge)

I just want to use the existing wiring from under the dash to the new oil pressure sender so I don't have to feed the wire through the fire wall as its not long enough anyway lol

much easier to just feed a new wire thru the firewall then to try find the existing wiring & chop it up & reconnect.
Your also better off leaving the existing low pressure switch in operation as it is a very reliable unit on telling u have no oil.
But if u must find the wire, easier to take cluster out & trace the circuit board from the warning light to the wire your looking for(usually yellow/red wire,i think).
Have u screwed the sender into the existing low pressure switch location on the motor? If so look at the colour of the wire that used to go to the switch & thats the colour your looking for at the rear of the cluster.

I don't even know where the existing low pressure switch is located lol
I would say its near the old filter... so no its not installed yet.
I have the feel the boost hose through the firewall anyway so I guess I'll just use the new Gauges wire

Hey people
Should the boost Gauge be on minus (in VAC) or no 0 while the cars off?
Thanks Guys..

0 when the car is off, - when its idling or not on boost.

Hey Guys
I'm a bit confused about the wires for the Oil Pressure Gauge
There two lots
3 x Wires in one loom and 3 x wires in the other loom…
First loom all wired up and the Gauge light and dimmer works fine thus far..
1 x Red (Power)
1 x Black (Ground)
1 x Orange (Dimmer Switch)
Second loom
1 x Red (What for?)
1 x Black (What for?)
1 x Green (Oil Pressure Sensor Wire)
Dose the black and red wires on the second loom turn the green wire into a power wire and the stock wire from the dash light be the ground?
Thanks Guys

that could just be the type of gauge u have making it read that with no power. wen u idle, throttles r closed and ur engine is sucking in tiny bit of air giving u negative press. wen its off, manifold press and outside air press is the same, reading 0.

I doesn't really worry me anymore as its reads boost correctly after I dynoed her
Come on people someone must know my above question?

What brand of gauge and which "loom" are you talking about???? Are you saying there are 6 wires coming from the gauge??
That's correct 6 in total
