confused about 96-98 and 99-00 climate control...

hey guys ive been reading up on swapping the climate control to 99-00 (something to fill up my holidays) and i see the new funky one being this:

now does this come out of 99-00 EK1/4 ? or is it only on the Type R 99-00?
because i wanna source the parts, but if it only comes out of Type R 99-00 then its obvs gonna be way 2 pricey

Nop, thats 99+ I THINK, but it wont be red
But i could be wrong, i always thought that was 99+

dont really give a shit about the colour, i can always open it and change colours . as long as its 2 DIN like that one is, with all those nobs etc... i saw another variation here on ozhonda but i think thats 99-00 VTI-R ?

And yea, pretty sure thats the 99+ with the double DIN and knobs. I wanted to do that upgrade to, but not worth it i think.... (looks better, but if mine works, why bother, cos i think you have to change the core and stuff too)

Yea it looks better, but i think it ends up costing a few hundred....

haha i dont have money pouring out my ass but i work my ass off :) i dunno, i wanna do it purely cause i LOVE ripping my car apart. the amount you learn by pulling shit apart is great. the only thing i havent had the balls quiet yet to rip apart is my engine. interior im brave :p

plus i broke that wire that goes from the analogue sliding climate control, and been fiddling with it to go around some winding peice of shit under my dash, can't get it right so i raged and vouched to have a look at what 99-00 climate control offers.

they are from 99-00 type R. cant find them in standard australian cars. you also need the entire climate control units, heater boxes and wiring behind the dash. its not easy. i have all of this in my ek.. going to remove it all due to weight reduction. pm me if you're interested in buyign it.

research on how mcuh they go for, and then tell me if u still want it. if so, then pm me a price you're willing to pay. low ball me an offer and i'll ignore it.

Looked into it, sourcing the required parts is a B*tch. gave up and moved on.

try and source the heater box and wiring before getting the pretty double din. there are heaps of them laying around because no one can get the heater box and wiring components.

why not juist import them they're everywhere for sale on clubcivic, jdmcivic etc.?
