eh? can u re-phrase the last Q
effects of not doing so?
lol
ok, get a bar of wood, and stick 1 kg on one side, and 2 kg on the other, then try and spin it, see how that feels
pretty much, thats how ur engine will feel, not to mention ur whole car
id imagine the flywheels come well balanced already, but it wont be perfect
the mechanic will put the flywheel on a machine and find out exactly how much weight has to be removed from a section for it to be perfectly balanced
and y would u not want to get it balanced:confused:
dont be cheap, dont try and skimp out on $20 or so, just go get it done properly

it will come balanced, but not perfectly i imagine
i dont think u can just slap it on, im not an expert....but most of the time the flywheel has to be re-balanced b4 its put on

I think he confused it with Toda's balanced flywheel and clutch kit.

Areyou talking about refacing or balancing. It sounds like the fly is second hand. So if its the case, get it skimmed so it is flat for your clutch. If new, just put it in.
Having it Balanced is a specialised job that I would dare say all normal mechanics could not facilitate. Plus it costs more than $20.
Hope this makes sense.

i had no idea bout the price, just took a wild guess
so its fair to say that all flywheels are perfectly balanced straight from the box?

all brand new flywheels should not have to be worked on before put on the car.
esp lighweight ones.

Makes sense, i didn't think companies would sell "unbalanced flywheels".
That would just be... silly.
