Twice now I've filled up my coolant reserve, check it a week later OK.Then checked it a few days after that and it's almost empty...
I've been checking under the car and can't find any leaks or coolant on the ground.I thought it may be the radiator cap that had a worn gasket but no.I will be changing this anyways.
This has me beat.Help plz.

Could be the radiator cap's spring. They have a tendency to become soft over time. SOmetimes a replacement helps.

Or other thing it might be is the Thermostat is not opening properly and causing the engine to get hotter than normal.

Doing both will cost you like $35 ($10 cap, $25 Thermostat)
Be worth a try

mine's doing something similar, altho i've found my problem. my car has overheating problems. i'd drive for half an hour, and then i'd pop the bonnet and i'd feel the coolant bubbling in the reservoir and see it vapourising.

My engine temps have been normal...
I will replace the radiator car at the end of the week.

my engine temp reads normal when the coolant is vapourising.

Sounds more like a headgasket problem there...

Ah,I see.So should I check the radiator to see if the coolant is getting low.And if it is then I'll know the thermostat isn't opening?

The only way to really check the thermostat is to remove it and suspend it in hot water at 100 C to see if it opens.

And please don't open your radiator cap when your engine is hot.

what about checking around the water pump area and check the radiator top tank for hair line cracks and weapage of coolant.

Bezza, As I remember in some other post you have been do something on IACV. So check whether the IACV seal fit properly as well as 2 heater lines from & to the IACV.

when your car is cold the resevior will only be at the minimum mark. Once the car is warmed up it should be closer to maximum.

If you've filled the resevior up to the max mark when the car is cold then you've over filled the system and will probably get a pressure leak somewhere.

Yes,found the problem.Split hose. The fat one at the back left bottom corner of the Intake Manifold. To replace this hose I should drain the radiator right?

That's what I did.

i have the same problem. not as bad though. like i might have to fill up with water every 3 months or so. is that normal? coz it would get real low and real concentrated.
