Hi every1..
i am putting CTR cams in this weekend... There has been a mixture of opinions that stronger valve springs are required. While others say.. jus drop the cams in and dun rev over 8200rpm then i will be fine..
any1 actually install CTR cams in b16 and uses the stock valve springs without problems..
if the valve springs blow wats gonna happen? thanks guys..

Valve springs don't blow. If the valve springs are too weak, then when at high RPM you will experience valve float where the valves don't close fast enough. In the worse case, when the valves are still partially open, the piston will come up and hit the valves.
Selection of valve springs depend on the amount of lift, duration and RPM you plan to use.

Upgrade valve springs...be safe then sorry.
ITR valve sprigns would be the best.

Atleast use the springs that the CTR cam used.

It's easier to get ITR springs locally than CTR ones.
