It never comes on!!! ever! It hasn't once come on since my conversion!

but at the same time... but temp guage hasn't ever gone past 30-40%... ever! and I bush my lil engine.

Switch in back of head provides earth to switch the relay in the passenger side of the engine bay fuse box.
Check the earth is actually provided.
Check relay function.
Check power source / fuse
