Has anyone had experience with an aftermarket IM or a stock y8 IM (I think this will fit?) on a d16y4?
I've been reading that a skunk2 IM without an aftermarket Camshaft is no good. You will lose low/mid range and gain top end but the mid range will go to s**t.No-one makes aftermarket camshafts for the y4 so I would have to get a custom job or a re-grind but I don't won't to spend that sort of money.

I'm leaning towards a y8 IM and b16 TB if this will work as the skunk2 one sounds like it will be too big for my application.
I want to do this mod next but can't work out the right/easy combo to do?

My set up,d16y4 Automatic:

Custom Short Ram Intake with Pod Filter
X-Force 4-2-1 Header
2" Exhaust
X-Force twin loop muffler
MSD Ignition System
FPR

Need Help plz.
Thanks in advance,

y4 and y8 intake manifold is the same

not identical - plugs and hose holes etc are in different spots but yeah basically the same thing = waste of cash and time "upgrading"

Cheers. The b16 TB is 60mm.But will it be a good upgrade putting this on the y4 IM,will it have to be port matched or can I get away with just bolting it on?

Steering away from the Skunk2 IM as I dont wanna lose my low/mid range.

IMHO don't do the TB or manifold mod.

I don't think you'll be able to realize ANY tangible gains with these simple bolt ons.
Automatic doesn't help at all.

Manual transmission or high stall converter (do they make those for Honda's?).

A sub-frame brace and rear sway bar is a good value upgrade.

Save your cash.

oops.

Just read your sig.

Sorry.

JDMYard has used rear swaybars for sale occasionally.
