car was working fine, drove it, turned it off, 10 mins later wouldnt start again, it cranks but just doesnt kick over, doesnt even sound like its going to kick over, there seems to be no spark coming out from the leads, changed the dizzy, but still same problem, could it be a faulty loom from the dizzy or something else? Any ideas

its a b16/b20 motor

thanks

when you changed the dizzy did you reuse your old coil and ICM. is the rotor button OK.

i swapped the dizzy for another one, with a used coil but brand new ICM, the rotor button looks ok, so im assuming its not got to do with the dizzy but something else rather

you should check the Ignition Output Signal (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68096)

also check the coil (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56224)and make sure you connected the ICM correctly.

check the ECU for codes

smoke is not good

I know this abit random buy try disconnecting your coolant temp sensor and crank, see if it turns on. If it does, turn it off asap and replace.

testing the ignition signal output isnt testing the ICM its testing the ECU for its signal to trigger the ICM

also check the ground on the thermostat housing.

after you check the ignition & coil, check the plugs themselves, are they dead

I think this is my problem...particularly when the car is hot. I have resoldered / checked the main relay and make sure the fuel pump primes so it shouldn't be this.

Did your engine light come on? I'm getting code 6 and the light is coming on more frequently now...so would it be more to do with the sensor needing replacement rather than a bad connection?
