my girlfriend's Jazz squeaks *like a spring that's a bit rusty* when the car
is turning to the right
is moving slowly whilst turning to the right
is angled over a hump such that the right tyres are on the gutter but the left tyres are on the hump
is going up a slope *parking lot entry, for example* which is oriented to the right
the brakes also squeaks a bit when you tap the brakes gently whilst travelling slowly.
the sound seems to be coming from the front left part of the car. the car has had its four tyres replaced recently due to an act of vandalism *four tyres slashed*, but the tyres that were used to replace them were Yokohamas A.Drives as opposed to the A.Spec they came with.
the girlfriend did not drive the car over any potholes when the tyres were slashed, although she did drive less than 10m and then realised that something was wrong, and that was when she stopped. there weren't any bumps or anything along those 10m, and she claims that she didn't hear any metal clunking when she drove those few metres.
this sound did not start immediately after the tyres were replaced, but rather almost two weeks after it was installed. the tyre company did a callout to her place to replace the tyres, hence the car wasn't required to be towed/driven to the tyre shop. however, an alignment wasn't carried out as she was told that there shouldn't be a need for it.
no modifications were done to the rims/shocks/brakes, and she doesn't drive like a hoon. the car was only purchased in July, and has done less than 2000kms done on the clock.
I've tried to peek my head into the tyre well, and have not noticed any rubbing or cracks that looked different/weird/worn.
help anyone?
