This thread will be edited as soon as ive fixed up my little problem, and ill post pics and DIY on the install. but until then, theres been a slight delay...

while bolting the rocker cover on i mustve overtightened (dont know how i was using a torque wrench!!!) one of the retaining bolts and snapped it :(

i have to go to honda tomorrow and hope they have one!

It happens. Could be overtightened earlier during the 40,000km valve clearance check. They are replaceable. Just take the bolt out using a screwdriver (cut a line and then use the flathead screwdriver to take it out) or use a screw extractor.

yeah i got it out easy, it was one of the 5 retaining bolts that hold the cover on, so they just have 12mm base on them, taken it out and will go to dealer tomorrow...

thanks for those instructions btw, very handy ideed! ill post pics as soon as its finished!

installed and looking sexy! will have pics on tomorrow night! :D

had to fabricate a bracket to hold the throttle body coolant lines, as the DC5R rocker cover doesnt have the bolt attatchments...

other than that, it fits perfectly!

* Dont use K20A dipstick as its different length to the K24a*

Yeah. Or use the K20A dipstick just for looks and put the k24A back on to check oil level or during servicing.

i think black one looks better. yeah to all thinking of replacing the dip stick, keep the oem one as well. When you are changing oil, use the oem one. I do the same thing. But normally when I check my oil level, I get used to using the DC5 one now. I memorise the lenght of the oil mark on the tip. About 5-6 mil from the edge lol.
