Hey people, I done a engine swap to my eg hatch a while ago and just remembered something, i got the brake booster and master cylinder out of a integra vti-r with ABS and my civic never had abs, i have stock brakes in the front but the integra discs in the rear, my question: Is the master cylinder fron the vti-r ok to use on the non abs system,

Thanks guys

how do the brakes feal and perform.

- do you get a long pedal or is it normal
- do the brakes lock up to quickly

your not ment to put a ABS master cylinder on a non ABS car, Iv never done it before so I dont know what results you would get when you do.

The master cylinder will be a bit bigger then the one you got at the moment.

If you wanna swap it over you'll need to change one or both of the ends on the brake lines that go to the proportioning valve. I got mine done for 6 bucks each (only had to do one line).

AFAIK the difference is in brake response because you're essentially pushing more fluid through the system. I'm guessing you'll get a stiffer pedal and will probably be able to lock the brakes up a bit easier then normal.

Alot of people in the US do ABS removals. Thats where i got all my info from for mine.

pedal feel is pretty normal, but i never had it bled properly maybe thats why it didn't feel 100%. as for the one line that i need making up i will do so as soon as i get it back on the road, but before u was using one of the integra lines and put a nice loop in it to take up the distance, so u guys reakon its safe with this master cylinder? i am getting 4piston calipers anytime now.
Thanks guys

It should be fine.

It might be better suited to the 4 pisont calipers as well.
