Hello fellow OH members,
Was driving the other day along eastern fwy and it was a very windy day in fact it was so windy the plastic strip on the outside of my windscreen (left side) decided to come lose and blow away... Funny how such an insignificant piece does pretty much does nothing can make ur car look 10x worse or instantly like a POS once missing.

Anyways, question is how/where do I get another one?

Cheers

Hey Ivan, this happened to my DC2 aswell on the left side. So annoying. Just goes crazy in the wind so i doubled taped it for the time being until i get a permanent fix

Yeah it's expensive to get it from Honda, but at least it'll be nice and shiny and scratch-free :D

yo, eugene

dont think u can get a permanent fix cuz if it's coming off that means ur clips are already broken. Unless ur planning to somehow use seeleys or something to stick it back on haha. but ur lucky u still have it.

the windscreen mould cost about $120 from honda
and there are also the colour clips that hold the mould in these are $ 5 each
u need these to hold the mould in place or u can use the black sikaflex to hold it in instead

yep i just bought the lh side one for my eg civic for 120 from honda today.and 5 each for 4 clips.does fit very nicely though....but yeah, pretty expensive.the old clips underneath were pretty brittle so i think you would snap them trying to fit a new mould

well since i'm pretty much getting a new set of clips (mine are presumably broken now) would it be safe to snap off the old ones now?

At least it'll b black and not big orange clips screaming crapness at everyone.

Although this is quite old now

and if this happens to you DON'T break off the orange clips lol

You'll need them.

I almost did but i thought i'd best leave it to the pro's.

There are corresponding clips attached to the mould that fit into the clips that are almost stuck on ur car which i'm not too sure if they are replaceable or not (probably are but y would u).
