Hi all,
I test drive a 2004 DC5 Type R last week and realise the steering for that car is very stiff, felt like a car without power steering. Is this normal? I ask my mechanic and he said Type R steering should be very easy to turn but my frend who owns one said it's normal.
So does the stock Type R DC5 have very stiff steering feel?

Its stiffer than a normal car as the Type R is made for the track.
It shouldnt be to the point where you're using 2 hands to turn the focker tho haha...
But yeh, it should be stiffer than a base model DC5.

both the base model and the type r have stiff steering which makes it more accurate

I drove a Type S before, seemed alot lighter than the Type R..
I like the stiff steering, feels nice on curvey roads

The steering is stiff due to the type R's being designed to drive at high speed. It takes time to get use to. Try driving a car with no power steering and compare the difference
