I been running clips like that on my slim fan for about a year now & had no problems.I'd say there fairly safe.

They go right thru the fins to a clip on the other side of the fins, like it sandwiches the fins.

The pins just push thru the holes in the fins to the other side where u put the clip on.

No damage to fins, just bends them slightly to allow for size of pin.U wont miss a couple of fins anyway if u do damage them, theres thousands more to make up for it.

they work OK

as long as you fit it flush on the core they will hold in well.

dont cut the zip tie to short either, leave 1cm. and dont do them up megga tight, just firmly.

yeah i used these for my oil cooler, later found out they are B*tch to get out especially cos i cut mine so they were nice and clean.
Lets just say you would have to pull the clips thru the radiator before they give or cut them off
