Strong adhesive tape (ie 3M) should do the trick.

is your lip a genuine oem lip? or is it replica?

if it is oem, then you shouldnt have any fitment issues at all. but if its replica, then as zdster has suggested go for the 3m double sided tape. itd do the trick nice n easily.

The tape idea came to mind but since that's the only answer, the only other idea that was suggested prior to this was to go forth and fibreglass it together with the existing front bar to make it a permanent fixture. Thanks for your help guys

dont fibre glass it, just use the 3m tape, waste of a nice ej8 bar or u could pass it ova :P

it has the same problem as you when i had a replica ctr lip, thats y i got rid of mine and got genuine cause u no the fitment is always right on and no hassles, if theres a gap on the top it should be to noticeable unless u look close up but while driving looks normal cause other people only get a glimps as u drive pass neway, but as zster said use 3m and should be all good
