hey all.. estimates on how much i'd be looking for..for a d16y1 or d16y8 into a dual carby ED civic..

alot. and even then i dont think u'll be happy with the performance.

if u really wanted to swap the motor out then id say atleast get a b16 to justify the money ur going to fork out.

ive asked around afew workshops. approximately 3k labour. that inclues all mounts, custom body work and fuel system upgraded to run a FI setup.

still have to get a hold of motor, gearbox, ecu, appropriate wiring.

and dont skimp on the brakes and sussy either.

all in all. look for an ef9.

yeah theres alot of labour to pay there to change from carb to efi.its not worth paying all that labour just to put a d series in....labour will end up being times expensive as the engine
