Mugen headers for dc2r

Hey peoples,
I'm planning on getting genuine mugen headers to go with my bc spec2 exhaust, just wondering will i feel a diff? and is it worth it?

hey buddy,

to get the most out of your catback, i dare say it would be a great idea to get a nice set of headers such as mugen and a high flow cat.

whether its worth it or not, would be relative to how much you're willing to spend on your car/how much loose change you've got, what your goals are...

mugen items arent cheap, but they are proven n/a products, and their exhaust systems are music to my ears. but if you've got the dosh and want to go all out on power gain, there are other brands out there such as smsp...
otherwise a cheaper alternative to mugen, which i think may also be worth a mention would be the 5zigen headers, or a cheaper alternative still - would be xforce headers. these are generally seen as bang for your buck ones.

probably best for you to google some reviews, get some prices together, and weigh your budget and future plans against these dude.

I aint to sure but i remember the 5ziegen headers (soz if spelling is wrong) pull really good numbers and arent as expensive as mugen. I dono how they compare to mugen but just a lil imput. I think you can get them for around 7-8 hundred

Yea I agree, I am going to get myself a set of the 5zigen ones for myself once I finish exams. For me I cannot justify spending that much money on a mugen header when u don't get twice the performance over the 5zigen which are pretty decent already from what I've read. I mean you don't want to go cheap on the header as thats where alot of the power in NA cars can be free'd up so xforce might not be such a great path imo.

If there was a mugen header 2nd hand for the same price as a new 5zigen then I'd go the mugen but otherwise 5zigen all the way!

Hey dude..

Get a decent header thats very important. With Xforce, they does the job but the power increase is not as significant(i have it now). The best header people recommend to me will be Toda and Mugen header(which u contemplate to get).

However, if you are going for a all out street/track pocket rocket, i recommend the toda header above all to match ur bc exhaust. I/H/E for an N/A car is important.

Another alternative will be to get the 5zigen header and save the excess+ some more hard earn $$ to get some toda cams or Jun cams that will make your car go pass the 110whp mark with a gd tune...

Do it right for the first time and never regret like i did.. haha..

it's surprising nobody mentions maximworks? i'd recommend toda headers too, they're cheaper than mugen or maximworks and still give good gains
