Hey guys..
will be taking some suspension gear to the electroplaters to get chromed... now question if this were to be done to my turbo exhaust manifold (ramhorn) would this affect performance or produce more heat? or even possibly melt off?
anyone with any experience care to share?

chrome will melt off /change colour
you should get your manifold hpc coated, they have a silver which is nice and shiny plus reduces underhood temperatures up to 35%
heres a pic, looks a bit like chrome if its important to you.

my ramhorn is stainless :) but would like to coat it in something that gives it a good look all the time! not something i will have to polish when i want it to look good.. and hpc is a heat supressant too:)

Yes, don't chrome it, get it HPC coated. The chrome will change colour and look blue/purple.

that HPC coat will still dull/fade after repetative heat cycles.
some places offer warranty against such things
not sure about here in aus though

hmmm... that looks alot better than the log manifold. But still, stainless looks better, even more so when it goes blue and gold.
