Today I was changing the coolant on my B16A2 motor but the motor drain plug just wouldn't come out. I've only had the car for about 4 weeks so i'm not sure what the last guy put it in with... Any ideas for gettting it out? I already tried the big breaker bar, but it just wants to burr the head :(

just undo the radiator drain plug. if you want to get everything out of the block your best undoing the thermostat housing and flushing the block.

Yep I ended up just doing the radiator drain plug because the coolant drain plug on the block just wouldn't give. I think about 750ml of coolant remained inside the block :(

you should be able to get 4.5l in there. thats with a dry block, I recon your right 500 to 750ml left over as there wont be much left from a 4l container.

if you flushed the block like ECU-MAN suggested, you should be fine...
OT - how would flushing a block with a hose go with water restrictions??? hmmm...

mine came off pretty damn easy... just get a 1/2inch breaker bar in there.

you might need to bang it in with a hamer... I made sure it was right in with the hamer, but my block was out of the car at the time... also I snaped a sidchrome reducer trying to under the crank pully so any brand will break if you put it under enough load... granted it was under around 140-150nm or turning torque though :P
