Hey guys have a ej8 coupe with a d16y8 and had a pod filter fitted but got defected by the po po. so im putting the standered air box back on... I was told if you take the resonator piping out it sounds a bit nicer. Ive taken all the brackets of and tried to remove it but it wont budge... Has has ne1 removed one before and did you have to take the front gaurds off and bumber???

You need to take off the front bumper, or the inner guard lining at least.

then use a socket (most easiest) to fit into the tight places. cant remember what size but probably like a 10 or something.

the jsut undo all of the bolts holding the bix resonator box - im sure u know what it looks like its either black or white.

some bolts are in tricky places but u jsu gotta use force. then you remove it all, it can also be tricky removing the U bend, jsut figure a way to bend and manuovre it out of its place.
