i installed a double din HU in a dc5r. it was a china brand double din DVD touch screen HU. perfect fitment.check ebay they are cheap as chips and do a great job.

I bought a touch screen LCD from Ebay.. It's alright, pretty cheap.

The first one they sent me was faulty, the motorised screen didn' come out. But other than that, fits well

well i got a friend who just bought a china brand mon from hk, the quality is actually not too bad.

the only thing im concern about is window breakers, fixing the window costs more than hu + mon

quality not too bad, but with more use the buttons get sticky sometimes.. and during hard cornering the volume might decrease or even mute altogether...

he just bought another one with motorized touch screen, divx player, sd slot and USB port, not bad at all for something under $400... got it picked up from local supplier also, so no long waiting period from overseas.. price is similar from the ebay ones after you add in the shipping cost which is around $50-70 for these things nowadays...

I measured the whole on the dash of the dc5R..

Height is 11cm.
Width is about 19cm from memory..

When you purchase a unit.. do they usually come with a face plate to cover the gaps.. like urs jetsir :P

Yeah i just got a double DIN touch sceen in my DC5R. It was a sony and didnt fit properly so i had freeway car audio make up a facia. Didnt cost much at all. Now it looks flush as!
