car in desperate need of a service....

hey

i've had my teg for just over a year now, and i havent had it serviced yet :oops: but now i have the money for it and i was wondering where you guys go to get yours done ?? im from melb BTW.

also, whenever i go to take off, the car hesitates, eg. i take my foot of the clutch and put my foot on the excelerator, but nothing happens, it doesnt move forward, then a couple of seconds later it decides to take off.

does anyone know what could be causing this and what i should say to the mechanic when i take it in for a service, i dont wanna sound like i have no idea and then get ripped off... \

I service my car at Honda Astoria. If you don't want to pay as much you could take it somewhere else. Atm i can't think of the name of the workshop but it's where alot of ppl who own skylines, 180sx etc take theirs.

For the hesitation of your car when taking off, is it a jerking feeling? could be a worn clutch? i donno.

you should go around and get quotes first, maybe even consider to do the service yourself. after servicing the car see if the hesitation still occurs and then work from that
